Information we collect

1. Account information (only if you sign in)

If you create an account, we collect your email address and a securely stored authentication credential. Authentication is handled by Supabase, our authentication provider, on our behalf. You can use the core features of the app — building trips, Magic Builder, previewing, and exporting — without creating an account.

2. Photos and photo metadata

The app can access your photo library when you tap Magic Builder or add a photo to a stop. When you select photos:

• The app reads each photo's EXIF metadata — its GPS coordinates and capture date/time — directly on your device to figure out where and when you traveled and reconstruct your route.
• This on-device analysis does not upload your photos or their metadata anywhere.
• If you attach a photo to a stop so it appears in your animation, a downscaled copy is stored locally as part of your trip.

We request photo access only at the moment you use these features, and only to provide them. We do not scan, index, or upload your wider photo library.

3. Trip content

The trips you build — your stops, chosen vehicles, and settings — are stored locally on your device. Any photos you attach to stops are stored locally as part of that trip.

4. When you export a video

Video rendering happens on our render server. When you tap Export, the data needed to draw your video — your route, settings, and any stop photos you added — is sent to our render service so it can generate the frames. This data is used only to produce the video you requested, processed transiently while the render runs, not retained afterward, and never used to build a profile of you or sold.

5. Basic technical and diagnostic information

Like most apps and websites, our servers may process standard technical information (such as IP address and request logs) as an ordinary part of delivering the service and keeping it secure and reliable. We use this only for operating, securing, and debugging the service.

How we use information

• Provide and operate the app's features (building trips, Magic Builder, previewing, exporting).
• Authenticate you if you create an account.
• Generate the videos you ask us to export.
• Keep the service secure, reliable, and working correctly.

We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.

Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:

• Service providers who help us run the app — for example our authentication provider (Supabase) and our cloud/render infrastructure — and only to the extent needed to provide the service on our behalf.
• Legal requirements — if required by law, regulation, or valid legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of our users, the public, or AeroAnimate LLC.

We do not otherwise disclose your information to third parties.

Data retention

• Account email: kept while your account exists. You can ask us to delete it at any time (see below).
• Trips and attached photos: stored locally on your device; deleting the app or a trip removes them from the device.
• Export data: processed transiently during a render and not retained afterward.

Your choices and rights

• Use without an account. Core features work without signing in.
• Photo access. You can grant, limit, or revoke the app's photo access any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos.
• Delete your account and data. Email support@aeroanimate.com and we'll delete your account, associated email, and any data we hold, subject to legal retention obligations.
• Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (such as access, correction, or deletion). Contact us and we'll help.

Children's privacy

AeroAnimate is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and reputable infrastructure providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data.

International users

AeroAnimate LLC operates the service and may process information on servers located in other countries. By using the app, you understand your information may be processed in a country different from where you live.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the “Last updated” date above and, for significant changes, provide notice within the app or on our website.
